Cheer Builder LLC ("Cheer Builder," "we," "us," or "our") operates the CBTeam mobile application and the cheerbuilder.com website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services.
By using CBTeam, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Account Information. When you create an account or sign in, we collect your email address and name. Authentication is handled through a one-time verification code sent to your email. We do not collect or store passwords.
Squad Membership Information. We store your squad memberships, including which squads you belong to, your role within each squad (e.g., member, captain), and your association with coaches and other squad members.
Messages. When you use the messaging features, we collect and store the content of messages you send and receive. This includes direct messages and squad group chat messages. Messages are stored on our servers to provide the messaging service and are accessible to the participants in each conversation.
Usage Data. We collect information about how you interact with content in the app, including which videos you watch, viewing progress and completion percentages, and content download activity. This data is used to provide features such as progress tracking, "unwatched" content indicators, and engagement reporting for coaches.
Device Information. When you enable push notifications, we collect your device token to deliver notifications. We also collect basic device and platform information (iOS) to ensure proper notification delivery.
Automatically Collected Information. Our servers automatically log standard request information including IP addresses, request timestamps, and API endpoints accessed. This data is used for security monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining service reliability.

With Your Coaches. Your coaches can see your name, squad membership, content viewing progress, and engagement data. This is a core feature of the platform that enables coaches to track training progress.
With Squad Members. Other members of your squad can see your name and squad membership. Messages you send in squad group chats are visible to all members of that squad.
Service Providers. We may share information with third-party service providers that perform services on our behalf, including cloud hosting, email delivery, and push notification delivery. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us.
Legal Requirements. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests by public authorities.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted in the United States. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), secure token-based authentication, and encrypted credential storage on your device using the iOS Keychain.
While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the service. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.
Content viewing analytics may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form after account deletion.
Push Notifications. You can opt out of push notifications at any time through your device settings.
Account Deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at the email address below.
Access and Correction. You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or request correction of inaccurate information, by contacting us.
Downloaded Content. Videos downloaded for offline viewing are stored locally on your device. You can manage and delete these downloads within the app at any time.
CBTeam is intended for use by members of competitive cheer and dance squads. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If a squad includes members under 13, the coach or parent/guardian is responsible for providing consent on the child's behalf when creating the squad membership. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the app or on our website and updating the "Effective Date" above. Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
